A very sunny and warm Saturday I went to the Victoria Record Fair, where I used to go in the '90's looking for records. My big find was a mint unplayed copy of the Who's Can't Explain which is fifty years old. Honestly that is something, when I think I first saw them in 1971 with Mott The Hoople. Speaking of Mott I spent the weekend playing this old bootleg from The Tower Theatre Philadelphia 1972 where David Bowie introduces the show. Fantastic show the band are super tight ( Which is something for Mott ), Mick Ralphs plays amazingly. It truly shows Mott The Hoople at their best from the All The Young Dudes Tour... and if you want to read all about it go and find the greatest rock book ever Ian Hunter's Diary Of A Rock And Roll Star.
Also here's a promo Mott Golden Age Of Rock And Roll from Japan (Which I got from Vicious Slouth in Melbourne with the Mott LP).
