Record Store Day in LA and a bit of old Metallica originally out in 1987. Cover designed by Peter Mensch who did a great job. The line up photo was taken by me messing around with a fish eye lens, somewhere in Germany I can’t remember where. I think I took five frames and one got picked for the cover . I never liked it then but I think over the years it’s become a Classic Image, I liked the back cover much better, but I think it looks sort of cool now.
Found a few copies of SOUNDS my favourite paper to ever work for, we would get away with terrible stuff mine that still haunts me now. The one I like best is the Phil Mogg and Pete Way one, or Michael Schenker with a German WW II machine gun - Rudolf Schenker was not happy at the time.
