LIVE and BUSH at The Greek Theatre. LIVE were fantastic and more so with production, nice lights that built as the set went on in a very Metallica way.
The last time I photographed Gavin Rossdale was in the Metropolitan Hotel in London . I came out and a friend called to tell me a plane had flown into the World Trade Centre 'Don't be stupid' was my reaction. So it's been awhile. Gavin asked if I'd like to shoot the show, of course I'd love to. Bush never had any front lighting ever, so to photography this was a surprise blazing lights still with no front follow spots ( If you photograph a show you'll understand ). Gavin even went for a run around the whole of the Greek I kid you not, he never stopped moving. And made long talks to the crowd between songs he'd make an amazing motivational speaker. Enjoyed photographing the show... the highlight was BUSH's photographer who whilst holding a camera was all in black with a beanie on, very styled, climbing and running as much as Gavin taking a few frames then leaping across the front stage to the amps - at first I thought it was part of the show like Circe De Soleil flying everywhere or a Navy Seal on a covert mission or if you’re English and old the Cadbury's Milk Tray Man delivering BUSH's box of Milk Chocolates in case they had the munchies mid show and needed a nibble. Still that entertainment aside , the crowd loved them. Gavin had them in the palm of his hand.
