July the 4th Los Angeles - Haven’t been here on the big holiday for a while. It was quite odd really because everyone I know seems to have left . The picture with the palm tree is looking east from Sunset, the house with the menagerie was shaped like Noah’s arc, I think the owner has biblical pretentions. The young guy was a homeless guy living by a dumpster, I think he was on meth because when he was smiling I noticed most of his teeth had fallen out. Although he was friendly and said he had lived in Shanghai for 5 years and he was at great pains to tell me that one of his tattoos on his chest said “I love you”, the dog he had with him had two odd eyes, a bit like David Bowie, it looked almost like a robot but was also very friendly. The Los Angeles wall was in the arts district at night, I’ve actually considered going home to North Korea…I mean London…. I must go back at some point and face reality.
