Led Zeppelin thirty nine years ago today. Knebworth 11 August 1979 where I spent my 22nd birthday photographing them. It was truthfully a pain in the arse high stage no access then Chalkie Davies and I run into BP Fallon who seemed to be on another planet altogether. Beep as he was known marched Chalkie and I into the Zeppelin compound . And we got them to line up I shot a few frames of colour then the rest in BW but there was no light so I never liked them. Now the book Led Zeppelin by Led Zeppelin is coming out the BW group shot is in there. Funny what you think never worked at the time.
